17th November 2021 - Writtle vs USP College (Seevic Campus)
Devastating defeat for Writtle’s Leyton Orient Academy this week finishing their Cup game 9-1 to Seevic. The women continued to work hard throughout the game, despite the goals conceded, and are hungry to make a comeback in their next game against Milton Keynes!
Writtle made a strong start with striker Jessica Musk making a powerful 18-yard top right corner goal, through ball assisted by Kaci Crook within the first 7 minutes.
A few minutes later Seevic were on the attack which resulted in a good finish from their number 10 in the bottom left corner, evening out the score to 1-1.
The pressure started to mount for Writtle, but Tahani kept her cool and made some great saves from Seevic's attacking players. However, the pressure finally paid off for Seevic when they made a powerful strike down the centre of the goal, taking a 2-1 lead.
The attack did not stop there from Seevic as they proceeded to push through Writtle's defence securing another two goals before half time.
The second half saw Seevic continue in the same fashion, with a strong attacking side, unfortunately leading to Writtle conceding a further 5 goals, leaving the final score as 9-1.
