WUC Sport is proud to work with the local community to provide local community support, events promoting health and well-being, working with local organisations and supporting local sport clubs and schools!
Community Support
WUC Sport works with Chelmsford City FC to deliver their disability football programme. Their programme has allowed the formation of a disability team to compete in local tournaments.
Community Events
At WUC Sport we try to provide events and guidance to our local community around health and well-being. Our events are family friendly and full of fun and activities! Our latest event was a 4km Obstacle Run set in our scenic grounds with various obstacles to tackle along the way. Take a look at our upcoming events!
Local Organisations
We engage with local community organisations such as Active Essex, Decathlon Chelmsford and Essex Schools Partnerships! We see the importance of working with local organisations to bring a better experience and knowledge of well-being to our community!
Sport Clubs & Schools
Our Sport Performance degree lecturers have worked with local sport clubs and schools to deliver some fitness testing sessions including; symmetry and power, body composition and lactate threshold.
We are hoping to work with more clubs and schools going forward to grow sport performance in Essex!
