Inter-House Dodgeball Tournament 2019
This year the Sport Development team also hosted WUC Sport’s first in-house Dodgeball Tournament which saw students from both FE and HE take part.
Teams of 6 to 10 people were formed across all departments including; Agriculture, Horticulture, Sport, Landscape & Architecture, Bioveterinary Science and more, and saw over 75 students socialising and taking part in physical activity!
The event was held in the recreation centre and provided refreshments throughout the tournament, with the assistance of our Sports Team Captains on the day. "Each and every student involved brought high energy that saw the tournament through a 2.5 hour run!"
Group stages gave all teams the opportunity to play 3 games which eventually narrowed the teams down to our quarter, semi final and finals competitors.
Team Men’s Rugby were our 2019 Dodgeball Champions who were given a run for their money by semi-final FE Sport students, LV2!
A unanimous vote for Team of the Tournament was awarded to Veterinary Physiotherapy students, Phil’s Angel's, who won their first 3 games in a row and gave all of their opponents a tough game!
A huge thank you to each and every person that participated. We look forward to growing and delivering more events like this in the future.
