Megan Curtis Qualifies for BD My Quest Nationals!

My Quest is an initiative for riders competing at Intro, Prelim or Novice level. My Quest has a regional leader board, with the top riders being taken to a Regional Final and then the National Championships.

Laura Johnston, performance coach, started a performance team for under 21s last year, and in that time has produced a team of strong Writtle University College riders. Her team competed back in August and made it to the Regional Finals, which was held at Anvil Park Stud, Norfolk on Saturday 28th September. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, two of the rider's were unable to attend the Regionals, therefore only leaving riders in the individual competition.

The day started with the Prelim class where Megan and her horse Stanley George, finished with a podium position of 3rd and qualification to the Nationals... but it doesn't stop there!

The afternoon saw the novice class where the competition was very strong, but Megan and Stanley George put their best hoof forward to top the class and become Novice Regional Champions and again qualifying for the Nationals!

Coach Laura said "I could not be any prouder of you Megan - a student that works extremely hard both at her studies and in training with Stan!"

WUC Sport and the institution are incredibly proud of the riders that have competed over the past year and of their coach Laura. The My Quest National Championships will be taking place on 25th October 2019 and we wish them the best of luck!
