Writtle Sport is working with Wing Tsun London who are teaching authentic wing tsun kung-fu session to our students, staff and wider community!
Wing Tsun kung-fu is one of the most effective self defence systems that can be learned within a short period of time by anyone, regardless of age, sex or level of physical fitness. "Teaching is a passion for us and we welcome anyone that is willing to learn not just the techniques of this art but also how to respect one another, how to accept your best abilities as well as your shortcomings, and how to be disciplined."
Our staff and students benefit from free wing tsun kung-fu sessions on Wednesday lunchtimes as part of #WellbeingWednesday, encouraging positive physical and mental health and well-being across our institution. Jennifer Stanhope, our Sport Assistant, says "I wasn't sure whether wing tsun would be for me, but the sessions are great fun and the instructors are very encouraging, attentive and I always leave with a smile on my face. I will definitely be continuing as the discipline is also helping me develop within my other sport pursuits!"
As well as our staff and student sessions, Wing Tsun London also run Wednesday evening sessions from Writtle University College that members of the public can take part in:
Women's Self-Defence: 5:30 - 6:30pm
Mixed Wing Tsun: 7:00 - 8:00pm
