WUC5 TERMS & CONDITIONS

I enter the race at my own risk and race organisers take no responsibility for injury, damage or loss that takes place before, during or after the race.
 

By signing onto this event, you are agreeing that you are fit enough to participate in this race, and you have disclosed any medical conditions that may affect you before, during or after the event takes place.
 

If you require an asthma pump or EpiPen, you will always carry it on your person during the event.
 

You will write down pre-existing medical conditions onto the back of your race number in clear capital letters.
 

In the event you suffer illness or injury during the event, you are obliged to inform the nearest marshal.
 

You consent to and authorise any and all medical and hospital treatment emergency first aid, medication, medical or hospital treatment or surgery that is deemed advisable or necessary by qualified medical personnel for you in the event of injury, accident or illness occurring during your participation in the Event.
 

Marshals are there to guide and are not responsible for the safety of the participants with regards to other vehicles or road users during the event.
 

Race participants are encouraged to wear bright clothing to improve their visibility to other road users.
 

Under NO circumstances will you run with headphones in or similar audio equipment. Doing so will see that you are disqualified from the race and no refund given.
 

Race participants are responsible for bring their own liquid and food to assist in the event.
 

No dogs, push chairs or small children are permitted on the course during the race event. This applies to both participants and spectators.
 

Spectators are advised to not spectate from the roadside and are responsible for their own safety and others under their care.
 

No aggressive behaviour or strong language is to be shown towards members of the public, staff, or other participants. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in disqualification and the potential removal from Writtle University College premises, and no refund given.
 

Parking is available at the event, however Writtle and race organisers are not responsible for any damage, theft or loss before, during or after the event.
 

There will be a bag drop area and participants are advised not to leave any valuables in their bags. Writtle and race organisers will not be responsible for any damage, theft or loss before, during or after the event.
 

I understand that my image my be used and give permission freely for it to be used.
 

Participants under the age of 18 are confirming that a parent has agreed to their entry and therefore agrees that any images captured can be used freely.
 

We use your personal information to keep you informed about the race and future events. We will pass on your relevant information to our race partners to produce results for the event. Your email will never be passed onto other companies or third parties. The contact used will be the one you supply on your race entry form.
 

We intend for the event to be a fun and safe environment, however if you have a cause for complaint please email wucsport@writtle.ac.uk for your complaint to be dealt with. All competitors will be asked to complete an online survey after the event to gather feedback, enabling us to make improvements for future events.
 

I understand the race organisers have the right to cancel, postpone or delay the event and in the instance of cancellation from WUC, you will receive a full refund.
 

From the moment you enter the event your entry fee is invested into the cost of organising. Your race entry is non-transferable, however can defer your place to the following year providing you give 30 days’ notice.
 

Withdrawal from the event inside of the 30-day window or on the day for any reason, including medical, your entry will not be refunded.
