Our sport clubs are a great place to come and de-stress, work on fitness, achieve personal goals and socialise with like-minded people. Our clubs currently include; netball, women's rugby, men' rugby, women's hockey and mixed equine.
We also have some recreational sport that you can join, to see what is taking place, check our activity timetable here.
Our sport membership includes:

Membership of a sports club – you can join up to two additional clubs for just £20 each

Access to training and facilities

Access to coaching (where the club has a coach)

BUCS competition entry and affiliation fees (where clubs are entered into BUCS)

Gym membership*
*Students have to be active members of the sport club to retain their free gym membership. Sport Development have the right to revoke gym access if students do not attend club training.
This gym is not specifically staffed, however in an event of an emergency, please use the contact numbers displayed around the facility.
Annual membership dates:
11th September 2023 – 10th May 2024
(You can purchase a top-up membership from 11th May – 21st June for £20)
Opening times:
Monday - Friday: 7am – 9pm
Weekends: 9am – 4pm
The gym will be closed over the Christmas Holidays (21/12/23 – 04/01/24)
SPORT WEDNESDAYS
As well as our competitive sport clubs, we run our SPORT WEDNESDAYS every week for those just wanting to have some fun and try some new things!
Our sport reps run different activities each week from dodgeball, kwik cricket and bench ball! No prior experience is needed, there are no fancy rules and we finish up just in time for the bar to open next door!
